The role of the Email Marketing Automation Specialist:

The Email Marketing Automation Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing email and SMS marketing campaigns to drive customer engagement, nurture B2C leads, and optimize conversion rates to deliver on programs we have sold. This includes designing and implementing automated workflows, segmenting audiences, and analyzing performance metrics. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical and detail-oriented marketer with a strong understanding of email marketing best practices and marketing automation tools.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand campaign objectives and target audience.
    • Design and implement email workflows using marketing automation tools.
    • Create compelling email content and visuals catered to the different customers we serve to drive engagement and conversion.
  • Segment and target audiences:
    • Utilize customer data and segmentation strategies to deliver personalized email experiences.
    • Conduct A/B testing to optimize email performance and increase conversion rates.
  • Analyze and report on campaign performance:
    • Monitor key email marketing metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve campaign effectiveness.
    • Create regular reports and dashboards to communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Optimize email marketing processes and systems:
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in email marketing and marketing automation.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation efficiencies.
    • Collaborate with the marketing operations team to ensure data integrity and system integrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams:
    • Work closely with the Marketing, Program Teams, and Product and Tech teams to align email marketing strategies with overall business goals.
    • Support other marketing initiatives and campaigns as needed.

You'll excel at this role if you have:

  • 3+ years of experience in email marketing and marketing automation.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms such as Vero, Hubspot, Marketo, or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of email marketing best practices, including segmentation, personalization, and A/B testing.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Keen eye for consistency in branding and copy.

  • Knowledge of the childcare industry and its challenges.
  • Previous B2B2C or marketplace startup experience, bonus if it has been in tech.
  • Experience partnering with Tech and Product teams to build customer-centric marketing automated communications.
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email template customization.
  • Enjoys a fast-paced, dynamic environment with little supervision, someone that is a go-getter.
